As an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) organization, the profits we earn are invested back into the communities we serve, not into our shareholders’ pockets.
Healthy finances and assistance make homeownership achievable. We equip customers to pursue homeownership through our HUD-approved home buyer development sessions and education courses.
Community investment starts with our basic services. We serve the community with lending realty services. We hold the profits we make from our lending and realty services
We use our profits to fund community services, like free Financial Capability programs that help individuals and families stabilize financially and grow wealth-building skills.
We make our courses accessible—find us at domestic violence and homeless shelters. We cover personal financial management, savings plans, fundamentals of mainstream banking and credit, and more.
Whether it's setting up savings plans, helping a customer find a matching down payment assistance program, or learning more about caring for a home long-term, we're with you for the whole process.
We offer down payment assistance and matching savings programs, providing an extra boost to bridge the affordability gap in competitive markets. Let's break down barriers to home ownership.
With more community members prepared to purchase homes through our Lending and Realty services, community reinvestment starts again. Let's build your homeownership based wealth today!
We believe that everyone deserves a safe, affordable home. A place where individuals and families can be empowered, encouraged, and inspired. And since 1977, NeighborWorks Orange County (NWOC) has done that by opening doors to home ownership for thousands of community members.
Our long-standing belief is multi-generational wealth can be built through home ownership. So, we helped low-income individuals and families in La Habra and Santa Ana build wealth as home owners. We took the long-term approach of education to build good habits. Financial education classes helped:
Over time, the community’s trust and investment in our services encouraged us to expand. NWOC became a HUD-certified counseling, lending, and realty service. By the 1980s we were proud to assist our clients through the whole home-buying process.
Our success in La Habra and Santa Ana communities created a demand for our services in other low-income neighborhoods. We broadened our reach to all Orange County and portions of the surrounding counties.
Today, NeighborWorks Orange County provides well-rounded home ownership services to people from all walks of life. We’re proud to help our customers build wealth through sustainable home ownership!
