The NeighborWorks Orange County (NWOC) Board of Directors provides leadership and oversight to ensure the organization fulfills its mission of building stronger communities through housing, financial education, and empowerment. Composed of dedicated community leaders and professionals, the Board guides NWOC’s efforts to expand affordable housing and promote equitable homeownership across Orange County.

We believe that everyone deserves a safe, affordable home. A place where individuals and families can be empowered, encouraged, and inspired. And since 1977, NeighborWorks Orange County (NWOC) has done that by opening doors to home ownership for thousands of community members.
Our long-standing belief is multi-generational wealth can be built through home ownership. So, we helped low-income individuals and families in La Habra and Santa Ana build wealth as home owners. We took the long-term approach of education to build good habits. Financial education classes helped:
Over time, the community’s trust and investment in our services encouraged us to expand. NWOC became a HUD-certified counseling, lending, and realty service. By the 1980s we were proud to assist our clients through the whole home-buying process.
Our success in La Habra and Santa Ana communities created a demand for our services in other low-income neighborhoods. We broadened our reach to all Orange County and portions of the surrounding counties.
Today, NeighborWorks Orange County provides well-rounded home ownership services to people from all walks of life. We’re proud to help our customers build wealth through sustainable home ownership!
